You might begin to wonder, how does CBD effectuate its actions? Surprisingly much of that information is unknown… so why is CBD so effective for epilepsy and seizures?
Seizures are said to originate from the brain. Cannabinoids, for example, cannabidiol (CBD) interacts with cannabinoids receptors that are normally found in the brain. Since the conduction of electrical impulses to the brain was conveyed by neurotransmitters that look like CBD, experts are of the opinion that CBD may work to redress lack of function of the naturally-occurring endocannabinoids inside the brain of individuals experiencing seizures.
Presently, the most widely recognized medications for seizures include anti-epileptic drugs and treatment that have their effects on some regions of the brain via electrical currents. Unfortunately, many types of seizures still remain untreatable.
Cannabinoids CBD Mechanism of Action
A recent study was carried out to prove the therapeutic effect of CBD. This research was carried out on about 19 children experiencing uncontrollable seizures. The study yielded positive results as an astonishing 80% of the children who participated in this study expressed a reduction in their seizures. Additional, two children experienced a total cessation and eight other children experienced about 80% reduction in the recurrence of the seizures. An extra six members had somewhere in the range of twenty-five to sixty percent achievement. Side effects associated with this CBD treatment were rare, the advantages exceeded the side effect, and however, drowsiness and fatigue were noticed in some patients. These side effects were not profound and as such was not thought to be sufficiently serious to justify ceasing the study. However, the researchers opined that it was important for more study to investigate the beneficial effects in children.
Another critical research is an investigation involving the use of Epidiolex, a medication derived from purified CBD oil extract. A study carried out involving about 214 individuals administered Epidiolex in an absence of placebo control showed impressive statistics over a period of twelve weeks. All the participant in this study had treatment-resistant seizures ranging from about 2 to 26 years. During this period of twelve weeks, most of the individuals that participated noticed their seizure drop by about 54%.
Recent studies on the therapeutic functions of cannabinoids especially dosing with CBD (Cannabidiol) have proven to be the light at the end of the “untreatable seizure” tunnels. This to a great extent helps to improve the individual’s quality of life.
A notable one is that of which a CBD concentrated cannabis strain, by the name of Charlotte’s Web was coined from the name of a girl, Charlotte who experienced epilepsy. Her seizures were resistant to conventional seizure treatments and surprisingly a strain of cannabis with highly concentrated amounts of CBD relieved the treatment-resistant seizures.

Establishing A Baseline Dosage Based On Weight
1. The FDA Guidelines Concerning The Use Of CBD Oil For Epilepsy and Seizures
Important Note: Typically, people decide to try CBD because of a specific condition, only to find it helps other areas of their body as well. Remember, your endocannabinoid system runs throughout the entire body at a cellular and sub-cellular level. CBD is a whole-body compound. When you start taking CBD for the first time, pay attention to everything going on in your body. Do not be surprised if you find various benefits from your dosage.
Many people do not like vaping so the choice to use a sublingual oil is easy. Others may choose a vapor product over a sublingual oil because of the higher absorption rate, faster onset and convenience of carrying it on your person. Some prefer the sublingual oils because the effects last longer, it is easier to dial-in an exact dosage, and easier to take higher dosage servings. Many customers will opt to do both, using the sublingual oil for the main dose and a vape pen to supplement between doses. This is especially helpful for people tackling anxiety or chronic pain who may need to supplement throughout the day.

DON’T IGNORE THIS, SOME ONE YOU KNOW MIGHT NEED IT PLEASE.A great testimony I must share to all cancer patients in the world. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 primary liver cancer in March 2014, doctor told us there was not much to be done since the tumor was 7 inches covering his lower lobe and also had spread to his lymph nodes, We decided to go home and called hospice which gave us morphine for pain, Ed hated the morphine which made him vomit and also affected his mind. After one week at home we decided to do what we have done for many years, rely on ourselves. We were only in Hospital for 3 days with severe Pain, the cancer had blocked his bile duct, after that we choose a Naturalist doctor and have not had conventional treatments. One day i came across the use of cannabis oil for treatment of cancer and i saw a post on how a cancer patient was cured with cannabis oil. I urgently needed help and i contacted the email :([email protected]) to get the cannabis oil, i was given instructional guide on how to use it. After taking a gram of oil per day, Within a couple of weeks his pain and swollen stomach disappeared and with it came hope and a good quality of life,we did it withoutundergoing surgery or and other physical medical pains. We never saw an oncologist and only have done a blood test after the first diagnose CT scan. His tumor marker went from over6000 to normal and he is feeling well. We don’t know how this is going to play out, but enjoy every day and give thanks to God. As i am writing this post, my husband is free from liver cancer and the doctor confirmed that the cancer is gone. The person you need to be discussing this with is your neurologist. Mant people think that MJ can help a person with issues they have. Other people think it will get them high. Doctors will know dosages and can help a person get those set. Too much can be as harmful as too little when it comes to medications. MJ can be different so I won’t go into that. Contact your neurologist. Understand that he will need to know if you are doing this so if you have a seizure he can look at th ammount along with your regular AED in order to set dosage levels.
I would love some assistance as well. [email protected] Thank you
